Kaiser Permanente’s Kona Medical Office, which celebrated its grand opening earlier this month, welcomed community members July 20 to its Family Fun Day for an afternoon of games, activities, prizes and entertainment. Visitors toured the new facilities at the corner of Queen Kaahumanu Highway and Honokohau Street and mingled with Kaiser Permanente physicians and staff.

In addition to games and entertainment, visitors had the opportunity to learn more about Kaiser Permanente’s physical therapy and Vision Essentials departments, nutrition and health education services, keiki car seat and bicycle safety, and school fitness programs. Kaiser Permanente staff helped members enroll in kp.org, the online resource that gives patients convenient access to their medical records and pharmacy prescriptions, and facilitates communication with their physicians.
